Mable Green TV Stand September 21st, 2018 - 01:47:45
Now I need a TV stand to go into that corner and I basically wasn't able to find anything on. So I designed my own TV stand to basically match this coffee table so we'll get to it. Alright, so here is the tabletop just used some two by sixes just like on that coffee table, so I I tried keeping it similar having these uh, these bread boards on the sides and planks in the middle, and now what I'm going to do, I'm just going to do the same, exact thing use the pocket hole.
Screws to assembly assemble this tabletop top of the TV stand is assembled using pocket holes, and this is how I did the cheapest Craig pocket hole.Jig you can get takes a little longer than that big fancy. One, but you could just go around clamp it drill, it clamp, it drill it. It'S not that bad save yourself some money, so there it is, I'm going to get working on the frame. Alright, this is going to be. The basic frame of the TV stand.
Two front legs here, our two by six is that have been bevel cut in order. You have a two by four fit perfectly with it, and a two by two sit in the front in there and then the back legs are just two by fours cut to whatever length you want. The TV stand to be whatever height. You want. The TV stand to be so mine, I want a thirty inches, so I cut the legs 28 and a half this back piece, I'm going to probably make this a 2x4 instead of a 2x2 just so that it.
You know it fits nicely back here. I'll take a 2x4 and I'll do mitered 45 degree miter cuts and then trim it down to fit perfectly. It's pretty straightforward, we'll see how it comes. This is this is kind of just on the fly, so I don't know what the I'm doing. All I know is I needed a TV stand that kind of matched my coffee table, so I'm just kind of winging it here, so the next step will be to make the shelf out of a 1 by 12, just like on the coffee table, so we'll get To that, please there's an update on the TV stand.
This is the top I steamed it. I just put the first coat of polyurethane on it looks looks good in my opinion. I love it seen I use is very Thane , like my favorite stain. It always comes out awesome and i like that dark dark color. This makes the would look really rich.Look how it makes the kind of gives the wood like a the green like a golden color to it, and then I just used the Min wax polyurethane, the satin type I usually like gloss, but I didn't have a choice. You know what I'm saying the girl wanted set and she doesn't like the high gloss polyurethane. So these are the shelves. I ended up doing two shelves because it looks silly with one shelf. It was just too tall to have one shelf so, like I said I was improvising.
