The 85 inch 8k Q LED television. Yes, they took their cue, LED line, they bumped it up to 8 K and an 85-inch model. Now a lot of folks are out there when they hear that an 8k TV coming or saying the same thing I just got 4k. I don't understand why you're going 8k there's no 8k content out there. Why would I want an 8k TV well Samsung's, trying to show that at an 85-inch size, there is a perceivable difference between an 8k and 4k TV and what we're seeing here is standard definition and just regular old 1080p, along with 4k content being up scaled.
All the way to 8k - and there is a difference here - we're looking at a 1080p signal and there's a definite difference in the sharpness of the text on the uniforms that we see here later. You're gonna see a segment where they've got some newsprint and there's definitely a difference there in the and the crispness of it Samsung's trying to deliver a message that in a super large screen, size 8k makes sense.
But here's what they're not really talking about at the show - but I happen to know, is a fact. Samsung is making some huge changes to the cue LED TV line. Last year they promised that we were going to see some significant improvements in terms of off angle. Viewing and black levels - and we didn't really see that there was a marginal improvement, but it wasn't the big huge improvement that we were expecting this year.
